VUTEK GS3250r Flatbed

Operating two Vutek GS3250r 126-inch roll-to-roll UV curing printers, I managed high-volume, color-accurate print production for clients such as Adidas, TaylorMade, the City of San Diego, Ballast Point, Callaway, UFC, Jack in the Box, Rubio’s, American Apparel, DC Shoes, Volcom, Nixon, and Quiksilver. This required precise calibration, routine maintenance, and workflow management to ensure consistent, high-quality prints on a variety of materials, including static cling, styrene, PVC, vinyl, die-bond, gatorboard, foam core, and plexiglass for backlit displays.

Using Onyx and Fiery RIP software, I optimized print files by adjusting color profiles, resolution, and layout alignment to maintain brand consistency across all substrates. In Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, I prepped artwork by performing color correction, resolution adjustments, and modifying designs for practical application, ensuring prints adhered to branding specifications while being installation-friendly for signage, retail displays, and promotional materials. I also used a spectrophotometer to align prints with Pantone color standards, guaranteeing brand fidelity across different print runs.

Routine maintenance and quality control were essential to preventing contamination and ensuring flawless output. I performed printhead cleaning to eliminate streaking, changed UV inks to maintain vibrancy, updated firmware, and inspected mechanical components to prevent downtime. This comprehensive approach allowed me to deliver sharp, vibrant, and precisely color-matched prints, ensuring high-end, durable results that met the demands of large-scale commercial and retail clients.

SOFTWARE:

Teckwin TS 600 Flatbed

Operating the Teckwin TS 600 UV flatbed printer, I specialized in high-resolution printing on rigid substrates, ensuring precise Pantone color matching and seamless brand integration. I worked on projects for Red Bull, Nixon, La Jolla Juice Co, and Suds Monkey, producing award plaques, bottle top labels, and custom display materials on wood, acrylic, and other elevated surfaces. Each project required meticulous image editing and layout adjustments using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, ensuring that artwork matched substrate dimensions while maintaining sharp details and vibrant colors.

Using Caldera RIP software, I optimized print files for color accuracy, resolution, and material compatibility, ensuring smooth production workflows. Regular printer calibration and maintenance were crucial to maintaining consistent ink adhesion and print clarity, especially when working with textured or non-traditional surfaces. I closely monitored print runs, making real-time adjustments to prevent banding, oversaturation, or registration misalignment, ensuring flawless results.

Beyond printing, I conducted quality control inspections, verifying each piece for registration accuracy, color fidelity, and substrate integrity. This hands-on experience in UV flatbed printing, material handling, and precision color management enabled me to consistently deliver high-quality, customized products that met brand standards and client expectations in high-visibility commercial projects.

SOFTWARE:

Roland VersaCAMM

Operating the Roland VersaCAMM at T-Shirt Mart and Instant Imprints, I gained hands-on experience in design, printing, and post-production for a wide variety of applications. I prepared files for large-format signage, decals, and promotional items, ensuring proper scaling, color accuracy, and print quality across different materials. Using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, I created production-ready artwork, then refined layouts in Adobe Acrobat before RIP processing with Fiery to optimize print settings for each substrate.

The VersaCAMM was used to produce vinyl prints for application on gatorboard, coroplast for A-frames, and signage, as well as stickers, decals, and window clings requiring contour cutting. For heat-transfer applications, I prepared graphics for work vests, construction helmets, and branded promotional items like keychains, pens, and mugs, ensuring proper material adhesion and durability. Each print was processed with precision, factoring in bleed margins, cut paths, and substrate limitations to maintain high-quality results.

Beyond printing, I handled post-production and finishing work, including cutting, mounting, taping, gluing, and grommeting to prepare signage for installation. I collaborated closely with installers, adjusting designs to ensure seamless application and long-term durability in various environments. This end-to-end production experience strengthened my ability to merge technical print knowledge with design execution, delivering polished, professional products tailored to both branding and functional needs.
