Welcome to my professional design portfolio!
My journey as a designer began in 1995 when I discovered my passion for creativity by crafting my family's restaurant/motel business cards, flyers, and brochures using "The Print Shop" software. Since then, I have pursued my love for art and design with unwavering dedication.
My formal education in art began in 2004 with an invitation to attend Charles M. Schulz's (Peanuts cartoons) Art Instruction School, where I gained a solid foundation in art history and various artistic concepts and fundamentals. Building upon this knowledge, I pursued higher education at The Art Institute of Colorado in Denver in 2008. Despite facing challenges due to family and financial circumstances during the recession, I maintained a 3.5 GPA and honed my skills in color theory, critical thinking, and design.
During my time at The Art Institute, I secured an internship with Tsunami Marketing agency, where I contributed to marketing materials for local concerts and nationwide festivals. This experience further fueled my passion for design and solidified my desire to excel in the industry.
Following my college experience, I embarked on a journey to California to pursue opportunities in the art world. I gained invaluable hands-on experience at T-Shirt Mart, where I mastered apparel design techniques such as silkscreen, DTG, vinyl, and embroidery, along with creating stickers, labels, and marketing materials.
Continuing to broaden my skill set, I joined FreeForm Printing Solutions, where I specialized in setting up artwork and operating large-format printing machines. I had the privilege of working on projects for renowned brands such as Quicksilver, Billabong, Volcom, and Skullcandy, creating banners, retractable displays, menu boards, and wood plaques.
My commitment to growth led me to Instant Imprints, where I progressed from Junior Designer to Production Manager. In this role, I oversaw the entire design process, from client consultations to production and delivery of marketing materials. This experience exposed me to a wide range of design projects, including trade show materials and various marketing collateral.
As the landscape of the industry evolved, I recognized the importance of adapting to new technologies and trends. Since 2020, I have focused on enhancing my web development skills, specializing in HTML, CSS, and JS. I offer my clients professional 2D/3D logos, branding guides, typography, infographics, social media content, landing pages, UX/UI design, and email marketing.
Leveraging the power of AI tools, I ensure that I stay ahead of the competition and deliver exceptional results to my clients and employers. I am passionate about facing new challenges and am excited about the opportunities that lie ahead in the ever-evolving field of design.
